The quality of exhibitors and product on show is just one of the reasons why AIS is consistently regarded as the best Furniture Buying group in the country and makes their Furniture Show an eagerly anticipated occasion by independent furniture retailers.
The AIS Furniture Show will once again take over Cranmore Park to give AIS members, and the wider trade, an opportunity to source exciting ranges from leading Brands by viewing the ranges on display that are specifically designed, curated and targeted for the audience of quality independent furniture retailers. The Furniture Show will open its doors to all on 21st and 22nd January, following two days of private access reserved for AIS members.
This flagship event continues to develop and provide support to the independent retail community by welcoming buyers from across the UK and Ireland or further afield. Those attending experience a buyer-focussed show within a unique environment that has a friendly and relaxed, yet business-like, atmosphere in which to develop buying strategy.
Running concurrently with the start of the January Furniture Show at the NEC means that the AIS Show gives buyers another reason to visit Birmingham. The proximity of Cranmore Park in Solihull, to the NEC makes it very easy to visit both and buyers that are keen to explore every opportunity and new developments in the sector can plan a visit prior to, or following, a trip to the NEC.
Show organiser, Peter Mallinson, AIS Merchandise Director-Home explains what buyers can expect to see “All the suppliers exhibiting, whether they are new to the show or have exhibited previously will be launching new product. We have some exciting new suppliers on upholstery including Willy Shillig from Germany and Sofa Via from Poland. We also have a new cabinet supplier Papaya Furniture from the Far East showing for the first time. Additionally, there will be some superb new ranges from established upholstery favourites including Himolla ,Chateaux D’ax, HTL and Primavera” he adds “In addition to AIS exclusive ranges under the Ducal and Stag brands, there will also be some excellent new product from Habufa, Venjakob, MWA and Nathan to name but a few!”.
The last January show saw the launch of a brand new concept especially for AIS members titled ‘5 Key Looks’. This was conceived to help members create more aesthetically impactful in store displays to provide ideas and generate add on sales. There was a tremendous response to this last time and Peter and his team have further developed this initiative over the past year and are excited about the positive reaction they expect at this next show. Peter explains, “We all know the best retailers create inspirational and aspirational in-store displays, showing customers an interior style that they can recreate at home. Those important finishing touches can result in increasing conversion and also raise average transaction values with great add-on sales”.
This initiative is another great example of AIS bringing added value to its members and raising standards in the industry. The 5 different themes will appeal to all customer demographics and living styles and each is presented and merchandised based on current on-trend interior designs reflecting Industrial, Hotel Boutique, Scandi, Country and Classics. The completeness of the furniture and accessory displays make it easy for retailers to replicate in store.
Cranmore Park can be found just off the M42 within a few minutes of Birmingham International rail and air links and the NEC. Such ease of access together with plenty of free parking makes The AIS Furniture Show an ideal start or end to the day.
The AIS members’ only show admittance is 19th and 20th January 2018.
